Do you think emotional pop songs still work better than catchy ones right now?

I’ve been thinking about how pop music has been shifting lately. On one hand, there are super catchy, upbeat tracks that are clearly made for playlists and quick impact. On the other, more emotional songs seem to stick longer with people e
